Hello Students and Parents!
I teach History and Geography at a local high school here in Guelph. I have been a teacher for 20 years. I am passionate about helping young people grow and reach their potential. I am also passionate about traveling and experiencing the world first hand.
I first experienced student travel when I taught History on overseas summer education courses in 2005 and 2006. Trips lasted 4 weeks and students gained a high school credit. These trips were in Italy and the UK. It was there that I first recognized the power of travel in the development of young people.
In 2018, I accompanied John F Ross teachers on a school-sanctioned March Break trip to Japan through EF Tours. It was here that I first experienced trips organized by EF Tours. The trip was extremely well-planned, well-organized and safe.
I organized my first trip as Guelph Youth Tours (in conjunction with EF Tours) in March, 2025 to Spain and Portugal.
I have lived in various places around the world including Lake Louise, Vancouver, Sydney Australia and Japan, where I taught English as a Second Language to Japanese students.
I am married and have 2 children, with whom I have travelled extensively :)
