Chaperones are trained to handle common medical situations and have access to first-aid supplies. For more serious issues, we utilize local medical facilities. It is mandatory for all participants to have adequate travel medical insurance. We collect detailed medical information prior to the trip to be aware of any pre-existing conditions or allergies. Our partner, EF Tours, also has global support networks.

We collect information about dietary restrictions and allergies during the registration process and work with our travel partner and local vendors to accommodate these needs to the best of our ability. Guelph Youth Travel conducts several pre-trip meetings for students and parents. These meetings cover important topics such as the itinerary, packing lists, cultural etiquette, safety guidelines, communication protocols, and expectations for behavior.
